Timbavati Elephants

These are two old pictures I took few years ago in the Timbavati - we had come across a herd of elephants which we watched from a distance. Upon leaving the scene we came across this old bull in the road. The picture below is taken through the windscreen of an old landrover - totally open at the back.

With the Elephant blocking our path ahead, trees blocking our escape left or right, the remainder of the heard came up past the rear of the vehicle. This is the picture taken looking back from the vehicle, note the baby elephants aswell. Exciting times...
